Why I love Stitch Machine

Indie Gifts Badge 350px

My good friend over at Stitch Machine just made the brilliant challenge for everyone to purchase atleast 5 gifts from independent sellers this holiday season. This is a genius idea not only because it helps boost the local economy but it is also a wonderful way to get unique, one-of-a-kind gifts.
This holiday season, go to locally owned stores to shop instead of the big chains you see every few blocks. Do an online search for upcoming art and craft festivals in your area. You never know what kind of treasures you will find and it is a great way to mix and mingle with like-minded people in your town.
